The deal, in plain words

Terminal is a flight tracker for iPhone. By using it you agree to what follows. It is short because there is not much to agree to, and the one part that matters is the first one.

01Flight information can be wrong

Terminal shows schedules, gates, delays, cancellations and landings. All of it comes from third-party data feeds, and all of it is provided as-is. It can be late, incomplete, or plainly wrong, and the app has no way to know when it is. A gate can change after the app last looked. A flight can be cancelled before the feed says so. Airlines change their minds.

Terminal is not a substitute for checking with your airline. The airline's app, its website, its text messages and the screens in the airport are the authority. If Terminal and the airline disagree, the airline is right.

02Missed flights are on you

If you miss a flight, a connection, a gate change or a boarding call because you relied on Terminal, that is not something we can be responsible for. We are not liable for missed flights, rebooking costs, hotel nights, lost time or anything else that follows from information in the app being wrong or late. Use it as one more source, and go to the gate early.

03What you get

The app is free and there is no account. You can use it for tracking your own travel. Please do not use it to hammer the service with automated requests, to scrape the data feeds behind it, or to do anything that costs other people their flight updates. The service has limits, and one person abusing them can switch everyone else off.

04Gmail is your choice

Connecting Gmail is optional. If you do, you are letting Terminal read booking confirmations to find your flights, on the terms in the privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time, in the app or from your Google account. The flights it finds are subject to section 01 like every other flight.

05The service can change or stop

This is a small app built by one person. Features may change, data providers may change, and the app may one day stop working or be withdrawn. We will try to give notice, but cannot promise it.

06Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Using the app after that means you accept the new version.
